has started cooking already. I think we are going to need lots of hungry people.
This post contains further details for the party. Could people point any of the guests who might not see this at this post?
Anyway, most of you should know how to get to Templars'. If there is any doubt, give us as call or email, and we'll give detailed directions. Due to the number of people coming from out of town, there may be a lack of parking directly by Templars', particularly as our neighbours don't like us using their area (which is fair enough; it is a private road). Thus some people may have to park on Temple Road or elsewhere. This shouldn't be a problem.
There will be a few changes from the usual Templars' party arrangements:
Firstly, TPITM has suggested that games should be played. To ease this, at least one table will be provided for table top games. The 'party game' organised by TPITM will also occur, and we may also have some party games running on the consoles. This will involve a slight rearrangement, so the space for alcohol may be slightly reduced.
Secondly, as well as the usual snacks, nibbles and drinks we will be providing more substantial food. This will probably at least include pizza and pasta. We may also run the BBQ if weather permits. There is of course no obligation to partake in this, but particular as hearthfire
has agreed to help it should be good.
TPITM has stated that they will reveal their identity and that of their dog at 8:30. If you care about this, turning up beforehand would be a good idea. Otherwise, there is no particular requirement as to when to turn up. People are welcome to arrive earlier, partcularly if they want to make a start on the food.
See you later, and please post if you think I've missed anything important.

Tony Short's card is 2H with "YOU" written on it.
I think there's a few people out there that seem to be coming on Saturday, but aren't on the Invite List
. Is this because they haven't realised it's there, or because they haven't solved the puzzle yet? Current Mood: helpful
How're you getting to Oxford tomorrow, and do people fancy meeting up & travelling together?Edit: Trains leave Paddington at hh:21 & hh:48 each hour (assuming people don't want to change) - if folks want to arrange meeting up, my mobile is 07950 357 566
More card codes
I have received an email from condign
, who has the 6H with E2Y on (previously posted).
I have used one of my puzzle prizes to (perhaps foolishly) get the blackhattedbosnian's 7C. These are FEL

See the ish on the end.
You want to be at the party before 8:30 for the dramatic revealings. After won't exactly be a disaster though and before (especially in time for the tidying) definitely won't...
There will be a games table.
My mind is being destroyed by the X-Cube redo of Conkers Bad Fur Day. It has bleeps and references to the designers porting it and changing things and ... arrrggggggg ...
um, otherwise follow instructions given for the party.Edit:
Crash space is rather short in Oxford - we have plenty of floor space in the living room (obviously depends on when people stop the party), lots of garden (if it really becomes necessary we'll just bung our tent up :-) and some more farming out of people may be possible, some investigating will be done tomorrow for more beds.
I have a prize for mini-puzzle 16, as follows:
~Add something to the game board. This should not affect more than a few squares at most.
~Reveal the letters on a card of your choice.
~Assign a dress code to yourself (but only yourself).
Could those who are fiddling with the card puzzle tell me if they would like me to take option 2? Otherwise I might go for option 1, as I have been offered a dresscode by cardinalsin
(but need to decide which I would like!)
Also, what is the correct form for communicating my decision to The Person In The Mask?
Gift or Game?
Today, we have received through the post, an envelope containing 10 miniature fabric flowers in a white plastic bag. These are white, red, peach, pale yellow, pale green, light blue, dark blue, lilac, purple and black. There are no instructions.
Does this mean anything to anyone? Is this the 'package' promised cuthbertcross
for solving the desk/book puzzle (as the solution was English Rose Garden)?
Common sense strikes...
Erm...since we have no idea how late this mysterious party on Saturday is going on til, would it be possible to grab crash space with someone in Oxford?
(Yes, it hs only just occurred to me this would be a sensible thing to ask...doh!)
Before I update my diagram...
Unless I'm much mistaken, we're still missing information on the following cards:
3, 4, 5, 7
2, 4, 5, 6, 7
2, 3, 6

is what I think of the photo competition.
I have just distributed my wildcard invite to Tony Short, who may indeed be looking at this community in the near future. Wave to Tony, everyone. Current Mood: lazy
